L.A. County District Attorney’s Office dropped case against Kevin Spacey

The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office has formally dropped a case against actor Kevin Spacey, after the accuser died. The accuser, a massage therapist who was never identified, went to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, which referred the investigation to the D.A.’s office in July 2018. The D.A.’s office has been reviewing the matter since then, and had not made a decision on whether to bring charges at the time of the accuser’s death. The accuser’s civil attorney, who had filed suit against Kevin Spacey in September 2018, notified Spacey’s lawyers that the accuser had died last month. A source

MY SPACEY STORY: An alternative ending for my father

This story won’t be an easy story to read, it won’t be a happy story and won’t have a happy ending, but it is something I want to tell you about because it has to do with Kevin Spacey and one of the people I loved most in the world: my father. Many months ago my father was diagnosed with cancer, he spent the last months of his life in a bed. My father has always been a great lover of cinema and, as such, has seen hundreds of movies. I found myself in trouble when, confined to a bed, he

MY SPACEY STORY: “A celebrity who truly loves his fans”

I’m from Singapore and have been a huge fan of Kevin Spacey‘s for more than 20 years. I’ve also been fortunate enough to meet him twice. The first time was in 2010 when he came here for an Audi event. When I went up to him to request an autograph for my Swimming With Sharks DVD cover, I was very surprised when he asked for my name and personalized the autograph. My camera decided to malfunction at that moment and Kevin was ushered to another room, so I thought that it was for me. But 10 minutes later, it worked

MY SPACEY STORY: “Sitting across from President Frank Underwood”

I had the pleasure of sitting across from this large campaign poster to elect Frank Underwood for President in 2016 while riding the subway to my office in DC one morning. It made me so happy to see it and I enjoyed it all the way to work which made my day. I came across this photo again today and realized that so much has happened since that happy day in 2016. Kevin Spacey brings so much joy to me and many others. I admire him for his many talents and also his compassionate heart and his generosity to those

Antonio Banderas: «I would never, never, never censor art!»

In an interview given to The Indipendent, Antonio Banderas talked about his last experience with Pedro Almodóvar in Pain and Glory and the value of art beyond any prejudice. Recently, Banderas starred as his lifelong hero Pablo Picasso – both men were born in Malaga – in the National Geographic anthology drama Genius, for which he was nominated for an Emmy. While reviews were generally middling, the series was praised for the fact it addressed the artist’s misogyny as much as his art. (Picasso notoriously said that “women are machines for suffering”). Does Banderas think people are too quick to defend someone like Picasso or,

Kevin Spacey and “The Boxer”: human and artistic analysis of an inestimable event

Bizarre. During his remoteness, Kevin Spacey received incessant discrimination from all over the entertainment and digital worlds. Until last Christmas, with Let me be Frank, he finally broke a silence that had lasted for a long time, seeing a word being set by the English speakers, which still today echoes on the internet: bizarre. Still, with the release of The Boxer, Gabriele Tinti’s poetry, which allowed Spacey to peek out, foreign magazines defined his return performance the performance bizarre. What appears bizarre to the recognizers of an artistic value is the incapacity to abandon the convenience by a slice of

Kevin Spacey, Gabriele Tinti’s “The Boxer” and the audience’s emotions: art as renaissance

“Perhaps you’re right. The more you’re wounded the greater you are. And the more empty you are. They used me for their entertainment, fed on shoddy stuff.” Kevin Spacey recites the beautiful words of “The Boxer – The nostalgia of the poet” by Gabriele Tinti, profound words that perfectly reflect what the actor has lived in the past years and that have been written a long time before the events that overwhelmed him. 6.30 pm, I find myself inside the room that houses the statue of the Boxer at rest, attributed to Lysippus, in the picturesque setting of Palazzo Massimo alle terme,

MY SPACEY STORY: “Kevin Spacey, a gentleman at the Old Vic”

It happened when Kevin Spacey was director of the Old Vic. A very close friend of mine was a sponsor of the Old Vic. She was invited to a special dinner for all the people and companies who sponsor the theatre. She was not sure if she wanted to go because she had to go on her own, but luckily she decided to join the party. She did not know any one there so she sit on her own at the table. Kevin Spacey saw her sitting on her own and went to her and join her at the table;

Gabriele Tinti explains how he convinced Kevin Spacey to read “The Boxer”

Gabriele Tinti, a 40-year-old Italian writer (originally from Jesi) had the audacity to address Kevin Spacey, to convince him to make a return to what Spacey does best: acting. Rolling Stone Italia has reached the Italian poet who is now spoken from one side of the Atlantic to the other to better understand how this collaboration was born. Read the following interview to discover more about Gabriele Tinti and his experience with Kevin Spacey. The question is as trivial as it is capital: how did you convince Kevin Spacey? I’m usually very direct. I sent him an email making my work talk.

Kevin Spacey chooses Italy for his artistic comeback, we were there

Kevin Spacey made his first artistic appearance since November 2017 today in Rome, reading Gabriele Tinti‘s poem The Boxer in Palazzo Massimo, the Roman National Museum. Recent Spacey’s pics in London was spotted on social media during last days and nobody expected the Roman event, where he read The Boxer in front of many people and international press. Support Kevin Spacey was present at the event, during which a crowd of unsuspecting 150 visitors surrounded the actor, welcomed with the typical warmth of his Italian public, to whom he dedicated an en encore outside the room hosting The Boxer statue. After
