Quite a few years ago my wife and I went to the Old Vic to see Richard II. If I were to say anticipation was fevourish I’d be underplaying how we in the audience felt. As it was, this was one of the most perfect interpretations of a Shakespeare play (and a very tricky one at that!), I’ve ever seen. Russell Crowe was two rows in front of us and, judging by his applause, was equally happy with the performance.
