I don’t know if this message will ever reach you Kevin, but that’s okay… 

What matters is that my message is real — just like the impact your work has had on me.

Every time I watch you embody a character, something opens inside me — a door I didn’t even know was there. You don’t just perform roles, you bring characters to life. Every time I finish watching a work of yours a part inside me mourns that the character you played wasn’t real, though I felt their presence deep inside my heart… No matter how dark or terrifying the characters were, I just feel some sort of attachment to their world, as if I want to know more… 

I don’t mean to be flirty, but hell I think I’m! There’s something in your stillness, in the dark charm of your gaze, in the way you can communicate so many levels of emotions and ideas even without a single word. I become completely taken to a world or a fictional character just thanks to your soulful delivery, Kevin. I don’t only see a character, but myself reflected through you. My vulnerabilities, my fears, my deep-seated longings for things I didn’t dare to speak of… 

I don’t idolize you Kevin, I’m aware you’re just a human being with flaws and brilliance like everybody else, but it’s the rare kind of authenticity and commitment in what you offer is what makes the difference, no matter how uncomfortable or dark the characters were…

I don’t see devils nor pure evil, I see wholeness…. And that has changed something in me — made me brave enough to look inside…

I feel that the word “thank you” would never match the level of gratitude I hold for you inside my heart so I’m out of words, and this makes me helpless… 

I would nonetheless say thank you. Thank you for your artistry, and for the strange, beautiful way your work has reached a woman far away, in a place you may never visit — Alexandria, Egypt — and made her feel less alone in her life.

I love you so much Kevin 🖤 Hopefully you can always find all the love and appreciation you deserve wherever you go…
