Dear Mr. Spacey,

I was one of the fortunate ones who watched your one-man show Clarence Darrow at Arthur Ashe Stadium in Queens, New York, in June 2017, just a few months before millions of people would be deprived of your art and artistry for seven years. I weep for this loss, for us, the audience, and for you.

You created numerous masterful characters, but no one embodied as much of your variety of talent, including directing, as the 2004 film BEYOND THE SEA.  You are such a brilliant actor that people believe you are the dark and sarcastic characters you played. However, judging by what I saw in many interviews you conducted, the character that most represents who you are is Bobby Darin, a talented and good-hearted man.

I hope I have the opportunity to work with you, to contribute to this community’s effort to bring you back to making films again.
