My warmest good wishes to Mr Spacey for facing down these allegations and emerging from a horrendous persecution. Yeats, quoting Goethe, said that the Irish loved to hunt the noble stag… obviously a trait not limited to Ireland. As a lawyer, I feel that the smell of money is behind many if not all of the allegations. I wonder what penalty if any will those who made the false allegations have to pay? If you sue a company, the judge can make you provide security for costs, before the case proceeds. But there you are, British justice is not perfect, but in this case, the acquittal is a great result. I look forward to Mr Spacey’s triumphant return to stage and screen, as actor and director.
